adventures with cashel

five years old is such a fun age!  he's a little person now who is hilarious.  we went to disney recently and in the days leading up to it he told me that he wanted to ride on goofy's sky school (little kid roller coaster).

me:  why do you like it so much?

cashel: it makes my penis feel funny!

and that is how cashel continues to rate his favorite rides as disneyland.  and that is how jason pumps him up for a ride like, say, the tower of terror, which, by the way, he did not like so much.  he didn't cry, but proclaimed when it was almost over, "dad!  i hope it's almost over."

soccer

cashel played soccer this past fall.  his friend max's dad, bobby, was the coach.  the name of the team was the ninja kickers.  he got better as the season progressed but doesn't quite have that competitive spirit yet.  he spent a lot of time just watching - even when he was on the field!  we asked him why he didn't go for the ball and he said:

i don't want the other kid to get mad at me!

how sweet.  he tell him not to take things from others all day long and he thinks that applies to soccer!
