I never thought I would blog

So I've been inspired to write a blog. My friend Heather writes one (http://www.winterswonderland-4.blogspot.com/) for her family and it's so entertaining. I think, perhaps, she has the funniest family I know. I already have a couple of websites. One I did while I was pregnant (http://web.me.com/jasonb11/Pregnancy/Welcome.html) and one I started for our little boy Cashel (http://web.me.com/jasonb11/Cashel/About_Me.html). I'm not sure if I'll keep up the one for Cashel or not - I may just use this one as a family site and not do both - we'll see how committed I am to doing both! I never thought I would blog but, like I said, I've been inspired by Heather. I'm not a writer but I would like to have a memoir, so to speak, about my family to go back and read about someday. I have a horrible memory so this will help with that. I find myself trying to remember things from high school and college and I have the worst time - I forget people, places and things - embarrassing! Jason was pulling out some pictures the other night to show my sister-in-law, Mary. He wanted to show her pictures of his car accidents. Anytime there is a car accident on a tv show or movie he ALWAYS says "That's no fun at all." So, he has these pictures of the cars he was in during an accident and often shows them to people. Anyhoo, like I was saying, as he was looking for these pictures I came across two diaries of mine. One from 7th grade to April of my senior year of high school. Please don't be impressed - only 3/4 of the diary is written in. I'm not a writer, so months would go by before I would write something some times and I would profusely apologize to my diary for not writing sooner every time! The other diary is from when Jason and I were going through a rough patch and it was my therapist. I wrote a whopping 12 pages in that one. Not only am I NOT a writer but I HATE to handwrite anything - thank you cards, checks, notes for my students to go to the bathroom, etc. I would much rather type so that's another reason why this just might be perfect for me. In the end, I don't care if anyone else reads this or not - it's really just for me - oh, and Cashel. He'll probably enjoy reading this someday because I'm certain that most of my posts will be about him. On this day he is almost 4 months old. He's worked himself into a peaceful sleep right beside me in our bedroom at 275 4th Street in Jersey City. He smells delicious and purrs as he sleeps.
