we heart san francisco

really.

we do.

i've been there three times now and jason and cashel and i have been there together twice.  it is quite possibly our annual labor day weekend vacation spot.

this year we decided to drive.  we really wanted to drive so that we could get a better lay of this beautiful land of california. 

boy was is a long, boring drive.  ranch after ranch after ranch.  lots of cows stinking it up.  windmills, and flatness with hills and mountains in the distance.  

we'll fly next year.  

cashel is quite the little traveler though.  he does really well.  he's never been that good in hotels and at restaurants.  anytime we're in a hotel, he wants to go home to be with his stuff.  he doesn't cry or anything, but it's harder to keep him entertained in a hotel that you would think.  he doesn't eat well in restaurants either.  his healthy food goes out the window when we travel and he gets a lot of chocolate milk along the way.  

Usually the first thing we do when we get to san francisco is to go to this great museum.  cashel loves it!  there's a great park close to it and after we get done looking at the museum we just walk around.

we had gotten a recommendation for a chinese restaurant in china town.  it was quite a wait and food was good but it was just simply entertaining to eat in such a crowded place!

the next day we did do a touristy thing that was awesome - bike the bridge.  notice the bottom left picture - potty break!

on the other side of the bridge is a cute little town called sausalito.  we had ice cream and rode the ferry back.  check out the amazing clouds!

jason and i admitted while we were there that we're city people.  there....we've said it.
