after two and a half years jason has finally been able to reconnect to work with the editor who brought us out here. he starts a new job on monday in santa monica. we always knew that this would happen - that he could very likely get a job on the "west side" as they like to call it here. what this means? the commute will probably be horrible on most days. we've lived in the lap of commuting luxury for the last three years. his first gig was in pasadena and the others have been either in north hollywood, burbank, or hollywood - a short 15-20 minute drive most days. it's bittersweet. i'm super happy that he'll get to work with this editor again because he really enjoyed it the first time but it means he won't be home for dinner like he has been the last 5 months. so i can't complain about that. it'll happen again i know and it just makes our weekends together more precious. he may even get to actually start surfing regularly before work. luckily, my school year is almost up so any morning craziness won't last too long.
